February 22, 2013: Snow City Arts will receive over $4,000 from Umphrey’s McGee guitarists Brendan Bayliss and Jake Cinninger from their 10th Annual Acoustic Holiday Show at Chicago’s Park West in December.

February 19, 2013: Ryan Stasik from Umphrey’s McGee has a custom hat (Bassik Stasik hat) being made by Grassroots California. Some of the proceeds will be donated to Snow City Arts. Only 420 hats are being made.

February 15, 2013: Check out this interview done by the Mafia Hairdresser on The Chicago Mom blog with our artists, Jonathan Stein, visual artist-in-residence, and Dan Kerr-Hobert, theater artist-in- residence, with Sadia Uqaili, Chief Program Officer at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

January 25, 2013: Left Brain Right Brain is filming Snow City Arts artists working with students at UIC hospital for a new video highlighting our work to educate and inspire children in hospitals through the arts.

January 18, 2013: Stevenson High School choose Snow City Arts as their charity for this year’s 24-Hour Theatre Project — in which students created a script and performed it publicly within 24 hours.

January 14, 2013: Snow City Arts’ very own Ronnie Kuller, musician-in-residence is in the band Mucca Pazza. The band was on the cover of New York Times Arts section. Congrats Ronnie!

January 5, 2013: We are thrilled to receive coverage in the Chicago Tribune, Crain’s Chicago Business, and The Chronicle of Philanthropy for the appointment of Snow City Arts’ new Executive Director Carrie Spitler.

December 8, 2012: Umphrey’s McGee guitarists Brendan Bayliss and Jake Cinninger will host their 10th Annual Acoustic Holiday Show at Chicago’s Park West on December 8. The evening will benefit Snow City Arts.

December 6, 2012: The Poetry Foundation is showing some of Snow City Arts’ students’ Erasure poems.

October 1, 2012: Snow City Arts’ filmmaker-in-residence, Mikey Peterson’s work, “Anas Nebula,” has been selected as part of the International Short-Films Competition at the Lucca Film Festival in Lucca, Italy during the week of October 1st – 6th.
