AGES 8-17

Though Azeez’s main medium has been visual arts, over the past 9 years Azeez has worked in every genre at Snow City Arts, producing music, starring in films, and writing poems. One hallmark of this artist is his consistent thoughtfulness; he never works on a piece or project without careful consideration and thought.

In essence, Azeez is an intellectual artist. Upon being introduced to Jackson Pollock, Azeez wanted to make an action painting. We set him up to do his splatter painting on the floor, and instead of pelting the paper willy-nilly, 10-year-old Azeez walked around his canvas with purpose, making careful and considered choices. Azeez came to us as an artist, and we have had the pleasure of watching him and his talent grow.
